Flight to Cusco.

Upon your arrival to Cusco, our representative and your private guide will be waiting for you to begin your tour.

Along the way, visit the Chinchero weaving center to meet the Callanaupa family and enjoy a tradional weaving demonstration.
The Callanaupa sisters have organized talented local women into a weaving cooperative, helping them to support their families while dedicating themselves to their culture’s weaving patterns. The women will demonstrate the art of weaving with traditional back strap looms, and you will be able to browse their creations if you care to buy, or donate to the community.

Visit the Maras salt terraces where you will explore the area with your guide.
Along your ride enjoy the peaceful scenery as you pass by local agricultural farmers and stunning views of the Andes. You will discover many farm animals grazing on the grass of the hillside and maybe even get a chance to speak to locals as you make your way to the salt terraces.
The Maras salt terraces display a spectacle of unusual beauty. Located on a wide, open hill above the Urubamba Valley, the salt water runs along channels which extend through the flooded lands and follow a more or less rectangular pattern, depending on the variations in the land. The water, which is exposed to the sun, leaves salt on the bed. Viewed from above, the myriad of rectangles look like an enormous painting designed by nature. The salt mines traditionally have been available to any person from the community wishing to harvest salt. The size of the salt pond assigned to a family depends on the family’s size.

Machu Picchu has been named one of the New Seven Wonders of the World and is perhaps the most awe-inspiring archaeological site in the Americas. Amazingly, it was never revealed to the conquering Spaniards and was virtually forgotten until the early part of the 20 th century when a young American historian Hiram Bingham discovered this lost city in 1911.

Mid-day :Enjoy a delicious lunch at the Sanctuary Lodge located at the entrance of the ruins.

It was built by the Inca Pachacutec in the 15 th Century and is perched between two peaks offering incredible views of the Urubamba river valley and the snow-capped mountains in the distance. The architecture is adapted to the natural form of the mountains. Approximately 200 buildings are arranged on wide parallel terraces around a vast central square that is oriented east-west. The temples are part of the upper town, the warehouses the lower. Extensive terraces were used for agriculture and sophisticated channeling systems provided irrigation for the fields. Numerous stone stairways set in the walls allowed access to the different levels across the site. The eastern section of the city was said to be residential. The western, separated by the square, was for religious and ceremonial purposes.
Late Afternoon : Return down the mountain by shuttle bus, transfer to the Machu Picchu train station to take the FIRST CLASS train service to Ollantaytambo, then transfer by van to Cusco.

Tha FIRST CLASS train departs from Machu Picchu at 19.00 hrs and arrive to Ollantaytambo at 20.41 hrs.

With your personal guide will take you to a private guided tour of the Sacsayhuaman ruins overlooking the city.

Cusco was the capital of the Incan civilization and Sacsayhuamán was seat of imperial power. This was the site of one of the fiercest battles between the Spanish conquerors and the army led by Manco Inca. It contains three tiers of zigzagging walls built with individual stones weighing up to 300 tons. After the conquest, many of the original stones were used by the Spaniards for construction in Cusco. Despite this, it remains one of the most impressive sites in the Cusco area.

Private guided tour of the main atractions of Cusco.
